If you are reading this, then you obviously are interested in what makes Dave awesome and I don’t blame you.  I would wonder also, if I wasn’t me.  Which I am.  And you are not.  But if you were, you would be powered by White Castle and beer.  Not necessarily in that order.  But it gives me Voltron like strength and a musk that could scissor kick a wild beast.  I enjoy long walks in the park, pointless cartwheels and throat chops.

In all seriousness, I love movies.  Especially horror movies.  But what I have discovered in my years of watching the genre is that there are few good ones and a lot of hot garbage.  Or for my Spanish telemundo crowd, basura caliente (no I don’t speak Spanish.  I am a blight on the race as a whole and deserve to be hit in the face with a plantain).  The movies I gravitate to are the ones that really get under your skin.  The ones that stick with you and don’t let go.  The kind of horror that actually makes you revert to your childhood and check under the bed just to make sure there’s nothing horrible under there.  That’s what I love.  The sensation of being scared with my heart pounding, goosebumps popping up on my arms, and a feeling in the pit of my stomach.  I’m fascinated with how movies are able to make me feel this way and I love analyzing the films that do this correctly.  Don’t get me wrong.  I don’t mind a movie that has a high body count and creative kills as long as it’s done in a way that doesn’t completely insult my intelligence.  But I love the films that almost elevate the genre of horror to art.  Anyway, I will get off my soap box even though I enjoy it up here being vertically challenged and all.  Just know that for all the silliness that this podcast will certainly feature, we all love these movies and I hope that our passion for the genre as a whole will come through loud and clear.  Now to put on some pants…..
